A luncheon in the Orchard each year raises the awareness of important issues in agriculture that face migrant workers and growers.
Migrant Legal Aid hosted the First Annual Harvest of Justice on September 21, 2011 at Robinette’s. This annual luncheon is to honor the migrants and celebrate the harvest. As part of the event, Migrant Legal Aid will present an award to the employer who most embodies the notion of fairness and quality in employee relations. The award recognizes an outstanding grower who strives to bring food and plants to market in a socially responsible way.
